CARE TIPS

General advises for residential environment

PERGO® floors are easy to keep clean since dirt and dust can’t stick to the surface.

Normally it’s enough to use a vacuum cleaner.

Sometimes dry- or wet clothing with a mop is necessary. Use the amount of detergent recommended from the supplier. Never use liquid soap or soap suds since that could create a coat on the floor.

Though spots can be removed with PERGO® Cleaner. You could also try with acetone or alcohol. Wipe afterwards with water.

Do not use steel wool or similar.

Put a doormat at the entrance (and why not one outside as well) This keeps the dirt of the floor.

Use felt pads under furniture legs and plastic wheels on castor chairs.

General advises for commercial environment

Cleaning After The Installation
Generally it is not necessary to do any heavy cleaning after a glue-free installation. Damp mop the floor to remove any dirt or dust. Use recommended amount of PERGO® cleaner in the water.

Ordinary Cleaning
Run over with a vacuum cleaner or a dry mop. If necessary use a damp cloth with some PERGO® cleaner in the water. Don’t overdose. Never use liquid soap or soap suds since that could create a coat on the floor. For best result, wipe dry afterwards.

Cleaning Machines

When dirt is attached hard to the surface a cleaning-machine can be used. The cleaning machine must be of combi type witch collects the dirty water after cleaning. The machine should have vertically rotating half-hard brushes. Wipe dry afterwards.

Others
No special surface treatment or polishing should be used. Wax or polish will not destroy the surface but it builds up a dirt-collecting coat on the floor. This coat could be hard to remove.
